"The Joe Bonamassa Les Paul Studio features a stunning metallic-finish carved maple cap with a mahogany back. The glued, deep-set mahogany neck with rosewood fretboard features a rounded '59 neck profile for guitarists who prefer a chunkier neck, but still enjoy fast, smooth playing action. The BurstBucker 2 and 3 humbuckers have unbalanced pickup windings for the historically-accurate "Patent Applied For" sound with a little extra airy tone. The 'Bucker Type 3 is slighty overwound for more output.<br /><br /><strong>A unique fusion of old and new ideas</strong><br />Bonamassa played his first guitar at the age of four.
