"The Gibson Les Paul Special's solid mahogany body is carved with a single cutaway for good upper-fret access, and was given a flat "slab" top for ease of manufacture. The neck on the Les Paul Jr Special cutaway guitar is constructed from solid mahogany carved to Gibson's popular "slim taper" profile, which offers a blend of speed and comfort. The neck shape on the Gibson Les Paul Junior guitar is an outstanding marriage between the rounded '50s profile and super-slim early '60s profile. An ebony fingerboard enhances the Gibson guitar's note attack and articulation.<br /><br />Dual Gibson P-90 pickups give the Les Paul Junior Special guitar a snappy, slightly gritty response, with a chunky midrange, firm lows, and sweet, musical highs.
